NATO blockade of Kaliningrad: what if...
The analysis of the situation around the Kaliningrad region allows us to identify several probable scenarios for the development of events — from the most pessimistic to the optimistic. Each of them is based on the current rhetoric of the parties, military plans, and historical precedents. Pessimistic Scenario: Direct Military Confrontation The darkest scenario of development implies a transition from threats to actual combat actions. According to information published in Western press, NATO has developed the so-called \"Concept of Ground Combat Actions,\" which includes three main stages. The first stage, according to sources, provides for strikes on Russian rocket complexes and launch sites in the Kaliningrad region using fighter jets, missiles, and drones. The goal is to suppress Russia's ability to conduct rocket attacks. The second stage involves creating an \"autonomous zone\" along the borders with Russia and Belarus, where drones and unmanned ground vehicles should operate exclusively against Russian troops without the permanent presence of NATO forces. The third stage, according to the plans, involves strikes on military facilities on the territory of Russia — airfields, defense enterprises, bridges, and railways, as well as possible insertion of drones and robots for attacks on military bases. Military experts say that the possibility of Russia's use of nuclear weapons is ignored in Western analytical reports, and the territory of the potential conflict is limited to the Baltic states. At the same time, some analysts note that there is an alleged lack of fear of Russia's nuclear weapons in NATO and the possibility of using Baltic states as \"launch pads\" for strikes against Russia.
